Carefree Responds to A Consumer #IGetToKnow Request for Ingredient Information

One of our mob moms did some of her own #IGetToKnow research on panty liners. She shared these screenshots with me and gave me permission to share the screenshots.

It’s very good to know that Carefree pantyliners are free of milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shell fish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, and soybeans, but can we talk about what actually matters?

I’m to consult my physician about the possibility of sensitivity to certain ingredients.  How do I consult my physician about the possibility of sensitive to certain ingredients if I don’t know what I’m asking about? What tests for irritation? What odor neutralizers?  What proprietary materials?  You’re putting your proprietary materials against my proprietary materials and there’s only one loser in this deal… me.

Carefree, unless you have something to hide from women, it’s time to start labeling your products with a full ingredient deck.  We deserve to know what we are using on and in our bodies.

Carefree is a brand made by Johnson & Johnson. Johnson & Johnson owns a number of companies, including Aveeno, Destin, Neutrogena, Rogaine, and BabyCenter. Do you think their response was appropriate?

Do you think you should know everything that is next to your baby’s genitals?  Disposable diaper companies don’t think parents need to know the whole truth.  Let’s change that.  Sign the Change.org petition today at IGetToKnow.com. #IGetToKnow

Do you have thoughts to add?
