Washing Cloth Diapers: Updated Instructions

We recommend that parents choose a cloth diaper detergent and cloth diaper washing routine that works well for their family, their budget, and their child.

Washing Cloth Diapers: Updated Instructions

Washing cloth diapers can be a challenge.  In an effort to make it easier, Cotton Babies updated our cloth diaper washing instructions.  As part of that process, we also updated our cloth diaper warranty. These changes affect bumGenius, Flip,  Econobum, and Hemp Babies products.

Washing Cloth Diapers: Updated Instructions

Updated cloth diaper washing instructions can be downloaded now at Cotton Babies.  These updates received the approval and endorsement of a variety of consumer-led cloth diaper washing groups, including Fluff Love.

Cloth Diaper Warranty

The language of our cloth diaper warranty has also been updated. The warranty will be honored on purchases of all Cotton Babies manufactured cloth diapers purchased since January 1, 2014. The revised warranty can be reviewed at the bumGenius website.

Thank you for providing feedback to our company.

  1. and this is why you Rock! About a year ago we switched our whole stash to BG & they are amazing :). I sew & the quality of BG is the best I have seen (& I have tried a lot of diapers :). THANK YOU!

  2. Happy to see this change, as a long time bG and CB fan and long time user of Tidy (F&C). I knew that warranty issues were of great importance to many people, and always cautioned my friends/fans as to be aware of these issues, I’m thankful to finally not have to say ‘use whatever works BUT’…. when I blog/share/chat.

  3. Jenn you go above and beyond for your customers. It’s great to see such awesome customer service these days. Cotton Babies you Rock.

  4. I love that your company trueky cares what the customers think. Your products are amazing and so is your team. Thanks.

  5. How great! Now if you would replace your elastic quality you’d gain customers you’ve lost over the years…not to mention more respect. For the amount of money people pay for a cloth diaper that they hope to use for 1 child or more…they deserve a quality product. This extends to the elastic. Please consider a change for that as well.

    • I’ve used bumGenius for both my kiddos. The majority were purchased from 2009-2012, but I haven’t had any problems with elastic. I have had problems with the aplix needing replacement and a few (out of around 80) have delaminated, but other than that, they held up great. We plan to use most of our stash on our third baby.

  6. You’re awesome for listening to your consumers! Thank you for doing this. We all appreciate you and your efforts Jenn!

  7. Awesome news, love BG even more now! Thanks for listening to your customers! This is a perfect reason to go buy some more BGs now 🙂

  8. Love bumGenius detergent but may I make a suggestion. Econobums are my favorite but only the newborn comes in hook and loop. My son is still using the one sizes. With his age trying to snap is difficult(he’s 18 months). They would be perfect if the one sizes came in hook and loop as well.

  9. Love econobum but it wish the one size came in hook and loop. My done is 18 months and it’s really difficult to snap his diapers.
